I never though I’d need compression socks, but when I hurt my ankle playing golf 3 years ago, I had no choice but to bite the bullet and try it out.

I ended up buying a bunch of different ones (even ones that were highly rated on amazon) and in my experience some of them can do more harm than good.

I learned that when it comes to foot issues, being active is one of the key things in the rehabilitation process.

Our muscles need to be worked and stimulated in order to regain the function we once had. However if you’ve ever experienced any type of injury, you know how how much the pain can deter you from physical activity.

That is where quality compression socks come in. It’s supposed to assist and take the load of our feet and ankles, while allowing us to stay active with minimal pain. Unfortunately bad compression socks can be too rigid, and while it may provide some temporary relief the stiffness of it doesn’t really allow our feet to move. This type of brace will often feel uncomfortable to wear and over the long term it can even cause the muscles to weaken making the injury worse.

After my golf injury I tried out many compression socks – ones designed for weight lifting, running or therapeutic relief or even very expensive ones ($100+ for 1 sock, seriously?). Most of them didn’t provide me with much relief and admittedly I just gave up on it and quit playing golf. What’s worse was I started to get swelling and pain in my feet even during regular work days.

So when I got asked to review the Kompress Kinetic Compression Socks, I was quite sceptical at first. However, I saw many people hyping the product on Facebook and online forums, so I decided to try it out for myself.
